72 Hour Care
The 72 Hour Care program provides food and shelter to homeless individuals and families for up to 72 hours in Ashland, Bayfield, and Douglas counties.
Emergency Shelters & Assistance
We assist families and single individuals who are homeless in becoming self sufficient through finding suitable employment and a permanent residence in Ashland and Bayfield counties. We also provide assistance with utility disconnects and rent or mortgage assistance.
Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing
The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing program offers financial assistance to either prevent or to help those who are experiencing homelessness in Ashland, Bayfield, Iron, and Price counties. Those who qualify for the rental assistance must be either homeless or facing eviction. Those who qualify for the utility assistance must be responsible for the utilities in their lease agreement and facing eviction, or unable to get housing due to an outstanding balance.
Solid Rock Safe Haven
Solid Rock Safe Haven is a homeless shelter
for adult men, which assists them in becoming self sufficient
through finding suitable employment and a permanent residence. The
Solid Rock Safe Haven is dedicated to helping identify,
demonstrating support, strengthening and enriching the quality of
life for all willing individuals, but expressly for low income
individuals and families in the area. We seek to alleviate
homelessness, hunger and problems facing this population through
programs and services.
The shelter also provides 3 meals per day, bed, laundry, phone and clothing for residents.
Check in for men needing shelter is from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Lunch and Dinner is also provided to the public:
- 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- 4:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday
- Closed to the public Sundays

Other than monetary donations, Solid Rock is always in need of other items that can be dropped off at our location at 1004 N. 6th Street Superior, WI 54880

- Bleach/Pine-sol
- Coffee
- Toilet Paper
- Toothpaste/Toothbrushes
- Razors
- Deodorant/Bar Soap
- New Socks/Underwear
- Non-Perishable Food Items
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) promotes housing stability for very low-income families, services include outreach, case management and temporary financial assistance for rent. Serves Ashland, Douglas and Bayfield counties veteran families.
